It’s one of the most exciting things to experience, when that pregnancy test turns positive and you discover that you’ve got a baby on the way! You’ll be checking out all the latest baby equipment, reading the reviews on strollers and carseats. You’ll memorize fetal growth charts and read so.many.books.
And likely before all this, you’ve been thinking through the important decisions about who to choose as your maternity care provider and how to manage your medical costs. Thankfully, there are affordable, flexible options for you as you pull together your plan of care.
Altrua HealthShare shares in eligible maternity costs for Members on the Diamond and Emerald memberships. You can also choose maternity sharing if you are on a MyShare membership. Your pregnancy costs are eligible for sharing in by the Membership if you are a Member on specific memberships on or before the date of conception. Maternity sharing is eligible 90 days after someone becomes a Member of Altrua HealthShare, provided they are on a specific membership. There is a $12,000 sharing maximum in your first year of membership and a $25,000 sharing maximum in your second year of membership, after fulfilling your Member Responsibility Amount. You must be married and are required to agree to the Statement of Standards for Altrua HealthShare. See Membership Guidelines for more information.
