To this date, no legitimate and eligible medical cost has gone un-shared by the Altrua HealthShare membership.
What this means for our members is that they get to enjoy the peace of mind they need for themselves and their families. Not to mention, we’re a recognized Health Care Sharing Ministry (HCSM) under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which means our members are exempt from shared responsibility penalties come tax time.
Furthermore, unlike other health sharing ministries, we operate from a statement of standards rather than a statement of faith. We also manage member funds in a designated escrow account. As a result, we’re able to send payment to providers on behalf of the membership for all eligible medical needs according to the member guidelines.
